Art Bar Kippy follows in the footsteps of illustrious predecessors such as ‘t Hemeltje, the RoXY and the Cocoanut Grove. Fueled by a fascination for the turning point to catastrophe, an exhibition is instigated about the vitality of nightlife and how this can literally explode.
Nightclub fire playlist, 2022
A compilation of songs with a direct link tothe moment in which a nightclub fire started. Link between music and event as well as a few details of the catastrophe are noted in the wall text. A LED indicates which song is currently playing. The fifth track in the playlist makes a reference to a fictional catastrophe waiting to happen at the time-period and location of the exhibtion itself.
